Full Itinerary (specific order of events subject to change)
We will board the Liberty of the Seas on November 10, 2019 in Galveston, TX.
Getting to Galveston Many of you are local to the Galveston area, and some are not. So, a few tips on getting to Galveston, and to the port.
Hotel – if you are thinking about driving down on Friday and staying overnight, there are of course lots of options, and some of the hotels even offer a stay and park option, so you can leave your car there during the cruise. We have arranged a group rate at the Four Points Sheraton at 2300 Seawall Boulevard, which provides a full breakfast and is very conveniently located to the port as well as the Pier activities. Parking at the Port – for those of us that will be parking at the Port of Galveston, there are lots of parking choices. Official Port parking can be booked in advance for a guaranteed space and small discount at http://www.portgalvestonparking.com/ . This is considered a 7 day cruise when booking. Information on other parking options can be found at http://www.galveston.com/cruiseparking/ or by using Google. Please plan time to park and shuttle when you are planning your Sunday.
Sunday, November 10th – Get Onboard! The ship sails at 4pm. When you check in online (more on that below) they may assign you a specific arrival time. I always recommend for folks to arrive as early as they will allow. Check in will usually begin between 11am and noon. Once you are onboard, your cabin may not be ready, but the buffet will be open for lunch, you can check out the ship, book your excursions, buy your beverage packages, etc! We will also plan to meet before dinner (location TBD) to connect with everyone and make sure we are all on board!
Monday, November 11th – Monday is a day of rest, or not! We will be at sea all day, so you will have plenty of time to relax and take advantage of all the ship has to offer. Then, join us at 6:00pm for our private Gospel performance.
Tuesday, November 12th – Our second day at sea! Join us in the afternoon for Billy Ray Sheppard's CD release party and special performance. After dinner we will have our second private performance with a special guest R&B artist (to be announced).
Wednesday, November 13th – Finally - Land! We will be spending the day in Roatan, Honduras and are currently scheduled to arrive at 8am and depart at 5pm. So enjoy your day, and come back to the ship, relax and we will see you at dinner! After dinner we will be having a special event - more on that later!
Thursday, November 14th – More Land! Today we will spend the day in Costa Maya, and we are currently scheduled to arrive at 7am and depart at 5:00pm. So enjoy your day, and come back to the ship, relax and we will see you at dinner! After dinner we will have a private performance by a special guest Jazz artist.
Friday, November 15th – Our last stop is Cozumel, and are currently scheduled to arrive at 7am and depart at 5pm. So enjoy your day, and come back to the ship and join us for our private concert with Billy Ray Sheppard and the Main Event Band.
Saturday, November 16th – Enjoy our last day at sea. We will be having a special event in the afternoon, and a tremendous finale show after dinner. Sunday, November 17 – Time to head home! The ship is scheduled to dock at 6:30am, and you will receive a letter in your cabin a night or two before letting you know what your specific time and location are. Your bags will need to be put out the night before (except your carry on), so get up, have breakfast and have a safe journey home.
Notes on Ship Life
The wonderful thing about cruising is that you can have the experience that YOU choose. There are options for activities, choices for dining, and many ways to customize your experience. Below are a couple of notes.
Dining – the daily schedule will provide information on dining options for all meals and snacks during the day. Our entire group is currently scheduled to dine in the main dining room each night at 8:30pm. This time was selected to allow you to participate in the concerts and cocktail parties. Of course, you may choose to change this, or to eat at any of the other locations based on your preference. More information about dining is available here
Dress – dress on board the ship is generally casual, and some folks will choose to dress for dinner while others will not. If you eat in the main dining room, they usually request that no shorts or flip flops be worn at dinner. For more on dress and what to pack, go here
Alcohol – Royal Caribbean does not allow Guests to bring beer, hard liquor or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use. Guests may bring personal wine and champagne onboard only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports-of-call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned. Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy
Travel Documents – Foster Perry Travel strongly encourages you to use your passport as your travel document for this trip. If you are not going to use a passport, or have minors traveling with you, it is critical that you review the requirements here to be clear on Royal Caribbean’s requirements (our sailing is under the Exceptions category for cruises that begin and end at the same port in the United States).
