Sunday July 28th - Rome
We encourage you to arrive in Rome early, and enjoy all that it has to offer before boarding the Jewel of the Seas on Sunday, July 28, 2019
Monday, July 29th - Cruising
There's nothing like a day at sea to let you catch your breath and relax!
Tuesday, July 30th - Santorini
Santorini is home to one of the world's most iconic skylines and offers excellent dining and sightseeing. With its pitch-black beaches, rugged landscape and stunning caldera (volcanic crater), it's not the perfect beach day for sun-worshippers, so it's good we are going to Mykonos!
Wednesday, July 31st - Mykonos
Mykonos offers a taste of Mediterranean life, with its beautiful beaches, bustling nightlife and excellent seafood. We will be visiting in high season, so it will be bustling, and people-watching will be in effect!
Thursday, August 1st - Athens
Greece's capitol see has so much to see, and as a major metropolis has the infrastructure to make it happen - including a subway! The most spectacular sites -- which include the Parthenon, Acropolis, Odeon and Temple of Athena -- are now more easily accessible, thanks to an Olympics-linked project that created a network of pretty, shop- and restaurant-lined pedestrian-friendly streets linking the city's major monuments and sites of historic interest.
Friday, August 2nd - Katakolon (Olympia)
While Katakolon is a small fishing village, we will port here because in just a 40 minute drive we will be transported back thousands of years. Stroll the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ancient Olympia, and you walk in the footsteps of early Greek and Roman athletes -- wrestlers, chariot drivers, discus throwers, runners and long-jumpers -- who vied for glory and the gods' favor. Stand alongside the massive columns, and, with the tales of a good guide, you can envision the once-magnificent temples, athletes training in the palestra and runners readying on the track. Alexander the Great, Nero, Plato and Aristotle are among those who watched the games from where you stand.
Saturday, August 3rd - Cruising
Our final day on board, we will have our own group "White Night" and take the opportunity to dine one last time as a group.
Sunday, August 4th - Rome
All too soon our cruising adventure will come to an end! We begin disembarking at 5am, so those that want to return to the US the same day will be able to. Those that want to stay in Rome, or travel on for more adventure can do so, and we are happy to assist!
